eydryan from bucharest, Romaniaah there we go, great street photo man... if it's not an incredible hassle, could you please tell me how you got this wicked contrast?... just drop me an email and we can talk. thanks for your time anyway :) 9 Jan 2007 8:07am Srinivas Koduri from Visakhapatnam, Indiaexcellent b&w tones. like they said seems like a movie poster. 9 Jan 2007 10:25am Stu from Kyoto, Japanvery engrossing shot jc. lots going on here. i can't stop wondering who this guy is. again, great 'colour' and contrast. 9 Jan 2007 1:26pm Craiger from Vacaville, California, United StatesA really good b & w! I really like the contrast here! But, this doesn't look like the Ginza I know. Is this the Ginza district in Tokyo? Maybe it's been too long since I've been there. 9 Jan 2007 2:53pm @Craiger: Thanks Craiger! I suppose I did take a little bit of licence with the title - I spent the evening wandering around the area between Ginza, Tokyo and Yurakucho stations. This is probably closer to Yurakucho, and certainly doesn't look like the more upmarket side of Ginza, you're right .. Paul Ricciardi from West Hartford, United StatesVery nice shot...lovely contrast, but mostly I love the story here. Wonderful work. 9 Jan 2007 4:05pm @Paul Ricciardi: Thanks Paul .. looking forward to seeing where you're going with the 72 knives, always interesting to visit your blog! Paul Ricciardi from West Hartford, United StatesVery nice shot...lovely contrast, but mostly I love the story here. Wonderful work. 9 Jan 2007 4:05pm Duncan Galbraith from kyoto, JapanThats pretty much about perfect John. Love the processing, compostion and the fact you can just make out those three shadowy figures at the end of the alley. The main subject looks hesitant, he's not in his stride but static, it adds a great sense of drama to the piece. 9 Jan 2007 4:38pm @Duncan Galbraith: Cheers Duncan, and welcome back! @agathe: thank you agathe! Darren from JapanThats a great shot JC. The post processing is also spot on mate. Really good work there. 10 Jan 2007 1:01am Evelyn from New Milford, United StatesWow, the coat makes it look noir, I think, but the setting has so many industrial elements...a great update of an idiom. Hm..for me the processing is a little bit too much. Probably just a matter of personal preference. 10 Jan 2007 3:38am Damon Schreiber from Toronto, CanadaSuperb work! I'm loving this series very very much. 10 Jan 2007 3:51am shutterfirefly from Singapore, Singaporesimply brilliant! thought i was the only one who liked shooting the back of people and alleys too! cheers mate! 14 Jan 2007 8:49am |
