Daniel from United StatesI think this needs more contrast. You captured some nice atmosphere. 18 Jan 2007 6:06am Zach Siebert from Bologna, Italysweeeeeet! this could be in the mounds series. great framing, jc. exceptional 18 Jan 2007 11:10am Carol from TurkeyLove your last 3 pics. Atmospheric, dreamy yet hostile. Nice stuff. 18 Jan 2007 12:57pm Craig Persel from Montreal, CanadaNo increase in contrast needed. Subtle and perfect. :-) 18 Jan 2007 1:05pm Craiger from Vacaville, California, United StatesVery nice shot indeed! I like this shot just as it is! I wouldn't change a thing! 18 Jan 2007 1:41pm Paul Ricciardi from West Hartford, United StatesI'm really not sure where I stand on the contrast. On one hand I like being able to see the sort of dreamy fog like air around the island. On the other, increasing the contrast would isolate the island and probably make it appear a bit more otherworldly. In any event, I do like the photo and where you were headed with it, but I just think it needs a bit more work. Although, with that said, no piece of art is ever finished, only simply abandoned. 18 Jan 2007 2:33pm Still from Valence, FranceYour myst series is really stunning! subtl work! I admire it! 18 Jan 2007 11:08pm Stu from Kyoto, JapanI'm so impressed with your posts recently, jc. This series on mist has been superb. Re the contrast - it's perfect as it is mate. 19 Jan 2007 2:59am Evelyn from New Milford, United StatesWow, it looks like an inkblot, but much more controlled. Maybe a tree-lined corner of a Chinese ink painting. 19 Jan 2007 5:46am Chris Sullivan from Melbourne, AustraliaLove the dreamlike quality to this shot. In my opinion the contrast is spot-on. As with the rest of this series: excellent work. 19 Jan 2007 10:39pm annie Silverman from somerville,MA, United Statesyou are a wizard of mists, fog, smoke,vapor...conjure, capture or witness? 20 Jan 2007 4:16am |
