Hi, I like what you tried to do with the high exposure (it looks like), but some parts look over done and a bit cartoon-ish. Like the part dangling closest to the lens, which would blur a bit more gracefully, I imagine, in the original image. Perhaps selective treatment would help?
A lovely comp and subject jc but I think I prefer your more natural-looking shots. Your treatment is always spot-on with those. As with my own shots though, I guess you sometimes have to cross the line to find the line so good on you for trying something different! :)
Its interesting. And its an experiment, and whether it worked or not you'll have learned something from it. And thats most important. Personally I think it's slightly overdone (although Im not sure what you did to it ;-o). It kind of looks like a sepia tinted cell frame collage (if such a thing exists). It seems very layered. Thats not ot say I dont like it. I do, I think however the treatment doesnt neccessarilt match the image. Can you repost this in its natural state? just backdate the post to whenever and let me know? I'd love to see it.
