These guys have a bad rep around here for needlessly killing waterfowl, and can be fairly vicious when cornered. He didn't seem to mind my presence too much but was careful not to move far from his burrow. I haven't seen him or her since but someone said they saw another animal of different colouring come out of the same hole so who knows what turf wars have been going on..
